Ongoing Research
K.Flaherty, in collaboration with J. Muzerolle (UA), is investigating the
variability of circumstellar disks in the mid-infrared. The focus is on modeling
the variations, mainly seen with the Sptizer Space Telescope. (Stellar/Galactic)
K. Flaherty, in collaboration with J. Muzerolle (UA), investigated the young
stellar population in NGC 2068/71. Using low and high-resolution optical spectra
along with mid-infrared photometry from Spitzer we identified the young stellar
memebers of the cluster. We also indetified a population of members with evolved
disks (small infrared excess) that also show evidence for a decrease in the
accretion activity. (Stellar/Galactic)
